FundingFactory®, America’s largest fundraising through recycling program, announced today that Traci Kline of Chambersburg, Pa., is the winner of the “Just Ask” Campaign and a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for four in Orlando, Florida. By pledging to “Just Ask” her employer, “What do we do with our used inkjet and laser cartridges?” she was automatically entered in the random drawing.
Kline said, “When I realized it was for real, I was dumbfounded, which is probably the best word. I get teary-eyed just thinking about the look on my 5-year-old daughter’s face when she meets a Disney princess face-to-face and my son’s face if he gets to meet Mickey!”
Kline will take the Disney vacation this October with her husband and their two children. Kline’s parents will join her family on the trip.
“I didn’t sign up to “Just Ask” my employer because of the trip,” Kline said, “but because I knew putting it in writing would make me follow through on my word.”
FundingFactory is also giving $500 in recycling points to her children’s school, Buds of Promise Childcare. Janice Dalton, director of Buds of Promise Childcare said the program, which is located in a church building, will use the money to help pay to install a card reader and security system
Buds of Promise Childcare has been recycling empty printer cartridges, used cell phones, and small electronics with FundingFactory since 2004. In an effort to expand their recycling fundraiser, Buds of Promise Childcare asked parents and local supporters to pledge to “Just Ask” their employers, “What do we do with our cartridges?”
A Business Supporter is any company committed to recycling used ink and toner cartridges or personal electronics to help a school or nonprofit organization meet their fundraising goals. Free to participate, FundingFactory Business Supporters receive display and collection materials and can either collect and ship their recyclables themselves or drop them off to a local FundingFactory participant. Interested companies can register at FundingFactory.com to donate the value of their recyclables to the school or nonprofit organization or their choice.
“With the support of a community behind an organization, there is no limit to the amount of money they can raise or the impact they can have on the environment,” adds Sean Michaels, FundingFactory president.
FundingFactory is one of the most effective, most favored recycling programs of its kind. Since 1997, FundingFactory has partnered with more than 50,000 organizations, empowering them to earn nearly $26 million in cash and rewards while preventing more than 21 million pounds of waste from being landfilled.
